The Foundation President with work closely with, and report to, the Chief Executive Officer of FirstHealth of the Carolinas and will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. As an accomplished leader, the President will be responsible for providing the vision, strategy, and oversight of the entire development enterprise. The President will be responsible for the design and implementation of comprehensive fundraising programs and tactics to achieve the foundation’s philanthropic goals. Operating as a coach and mentor and through leading by example, the President will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects and will be expected to cultivate and secure significant and transformational gift commitments.

Associate Director of Philanthropy

Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) has been meeting the health needs of children and families in Southern California since 1954. Today, Rady Children’s is a nationally recognized non-profit, pediatric-care facility dedicated to excellence in care, education, research and advocacy.

The Associate Director of Philanthropy (ADP) is responsible for developing relationships with a core group of prospective donors with capacity for major gifts of $25K+ or as defined by management. The ADP will manage an active portfolio of 100-120 major gift prospects and effectively move individuals in the prospect pool through the various stages of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Salary range $78,270 to $117,416

Director of Gift Planning

Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego (RCHSD) has been meeting the health needs of children and families in Southern California since 1954. Today, Rady Children’s is a nationally recognized non-profit, pediatric-care facility dedicated to excellence in care, education, research and advocacy.

The Director of Gift Planning is responsible for identifying/developing relationships with prospects and donors who have the capacity to make a planned or deferred gift; managing an active portfolio of 80-100 prospects with capacity for planned gifts of 250K+ or/as defined by management. This position is considered a frontline fundraiser responsible for soliciting/managing planned gifts including but not limited to bequests, annuities, trusts, deferred gifts, etc. Conducts and holds educational seminars/presentations with legal, financial and insurance professionals, as well as volunteers and current and prospective donors, to offer continuing educations.

Salary range $78,270 to $117,416

The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with a core group of prospective leadership donors with capacity for major gifts of $250K+ or as defined by management. The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for implementing gift strategies and securing gifts in support of established fundraising priorities including institutes, endowments, programs, chairs, fellowships and capital needs.

Working closely with the Chief Community Relations Officer, the Senior Development Officer (SDO) will oversee and manage all aspects of a sustainable individual giving program. With an emphasis on major gifts, the SDO will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, solicitating and stewarding donors.
